[Blog] GPS Tracking and Watching Frei...: by James Neely, freelance writer: click | HERE | to check out GPS products from Rocky Mountain Tracking
Imagine if you were able to hire freight watchers who would ride along with your cargo as it is being shipped. There would be less trepidation about journey and whether or not the cargo would arrive in the same condition that it left. Also, fears of theft would be greatly diminished.
[caption id="attachment_945" align="alignright" width="300" caption="Freight Watching with GPS Tracking"][/caption]
You can have all of that with GPS Tracking. How? By being able to track freight as it traverses the landscape to its intended destination while being monitored constantly. Sure, having a real live person there might be an edge, but face it: economics and practicality prevent that idea from being implemented.
What you need is a method of tracking that puts you in control. That is what GPS Tracking devices and systems deliver to you. Here are the major benefits:
Location from Start to Finish
So, how hard can it be to track some of the largest cargo containers in the world? Pretty difficult if you cannot be right there with them at all times - which is all of the time. Moving goods from location to location takes time and that is especially true if you are shipping internationally. Being able to keep watch via GPS Tracking helps in knowing where your cargo is located while en route to its destination.
Delivering Customer Satisfaction
Using GPS Tracking gives you the option of sending communications to clients to keep them informed on the progress of their shipment. Much like tracking a box sent via traditional mail services, this type of tracking takes the any guessing out of the trip. Clients who are kept informed about their shipments are happy clients.
Accounting Purposes
Idol shipping containers is money wasted. Making sure that your cargo containers and shipments are full will help insure that you use your shipping dollars wisely. Everyone knows that shipping costs add to the price of the item being sold, so using GPS Tracking also helps you to keep pricing in check.
Using GPS Tracking devices to assist the freight industry makes sense. If you are in this business, you should obtain them today and see what a difference they can make in your operations.
Rocky Mountain Tracking has the best line-up of GPS Tracking Devices to meet any need. Take a look at their products and options for the best fit for your business. You will find knowledgeable sales persons in helping you get the best unit to meet your requireme...

[Blog] Bank Robbery: Collecting Cash…And A GPS U...: By Greg Bartlett
For some cash-strapped individuals, bank robbery may seem like the perfect solution. Just walk in, "withdraw" some money, and financial problems are solved. Providing the police don't catch the robber, of course.
[caption id="attachment_4124" align="alignright" width="300" caption="GPS Tracking and Bank Robberies"][/caption]
Unfortunately for would-be bank robbers, GPS tracking has made the likelihood of being caught much higher. A GPS tracking unit can be easily hidden with the cash and can be disguised to look like the rest of the money - making it much difficult for the robber to find and dispose of the GPS unit before police are able to find and arrest the robber. And rest assured, they will. The GPS tracking unit will monitor the robber's exact location, allowing police to see where the money is, what stops have been made, and at what speed the money is traveling. All police have to do is follow the GPS unit's directions to collect the robber and recover the money.
GPS tracking is useful because it allows police to know exactly where a bank robber is. If they are not able to reach the bank before the robber leaves, all they have to do is locate the GPS unit, and thus the money - and the robber. Often a GPS tracking unit will guide police to the bank robber's home, sometimes within just minutes of the robbery.
A GPS unit will also allow police to track the bank robber on the roads, so if police catch up with the robber on the road, they can continue to follow him or her until the robber is apprehended. If the robber flees, on car or on foot, so long as he or she takes the money along, the police can continue to pursue. One bank robber in Kentucky learned this the hard way when he attempted to avoid police in his stolen car, then eventually left the car and tried to escape on foot. The GPS unit hidden in the money continued to guide police to him, however, until he was apprehended.
For those who do choose to attempt bank robbery to solve their financial woes, the risks are just not worth it. A man in Pennsylvania netted only about $600 from his robbery, and then was apprehended on his way home because of a GPS tracking unit hidden with his stolen money. Banks are no longer quick withdraw stations for those who want money that isn't theirs. GPS tracking makes bank robberies much more risky and the chances of escaping much more unlik...
